Day 20: Divisive Words

1 Corinthians 1:10 (HCSB) Now I urge you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all say the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.

Christian unity ought to be something that is so prevalent that it is not a surprise. Instead when someone see Christians (especially from different denominations) getting along it is newsworthy! Let’s put it on CNN! Call Oprah! Christians are getting along and (gasp) loving one another.

 

Words can be the factor that keeps Christians apart. Let’s not allow divisive words to disrupt our fellowship.

 

 

Say the same thing -  be on the same page with your fellow church members.

 

Have no divisions – do not be divisive.

 

Be united with the same understanding and same conviction – again, same page.
