Day 18: Complaining

1 Corinthians 10:10 (HCSB) Nor should we complain as some of them did, and were killed by the destroyer.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 (HCSB) Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

 

Baptists are famous for not drinking alcohol. One famous Baptist named Welch even came up with grape juice so we could partake of the Lord’s supper! But even with most Baptists not drinking wine, we sure do partake of the “whine” a lot!

 

People smile knowingly when you talk about someone complaining about “my pew” or someone worried about the “color of the carpet” or other such nonsense.

 

There are a lot of personal preference items that we deal with every day, but we should never sacrifice Christian fellowship or Christian love for them.

 

Let’s put away the “whine”.

 

I for one am in favor of abstaining completely from whine!
