Day 17: Lies

 

Colossians 3:9 (HCSB) Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his practices

 

Lying has become so commonplace in our world that sometimes we don’t even see it as lying anymore.

 

“I sent that email because it might be true…” but most internet forwards are lies and if you send it you perpetuate lying. Your integrity is at stake.

 

“I might have stretched the truth a bit…” but you lied, no matter how little, it was not the truth. How much is your integrity worth?

 

“In order to protect my job, I covered for my boss…” ‘Covered for’ is another word for lying. Is your job worth more than your integrity. What’s the boss going to say… I fired him for not lying for me?

 

Let’s just not lie.
