Day 2
Matthew 7:22-23 (HCSB) 22 On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’ 23 Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’
John 17:3 (HCSB) This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent—Jesus Christ.
Romans 8:16 (HCSB) The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,
Do you know that you know that you know that you are saved and secure in the arms of Jesus? Do you sometimes wonder if God really saved you? Do you even remember when you asked Him?
Even if you do not remember the time and date, if you have received salvation from God, He will give you an assurance of this in your heart.
Consider the following:
- Matthew 7:20-23 (HCSB) 20 So you’ll recognize them by their fruit. 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but [only] the one who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in Your name, drive out demons in Your name, and do many miracles in Your name?’ 23 Then I will announce to them, ‘I never knew you! Depart from Me, you lawbreakers!’
Some people will come before God thinking they are saved, but they are not.
- John 17:3 (HCSB) This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and the One You have sent—Jesus Christ.
Salvation is knowing Jesus in a personal relationship, and knowing that you know.
- Romans 8:16 (HCSB) The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God’s children,
God gives assurance of salvation to those who are saved.
Many of you may be saved, but maybe you are being convicted of thought patterns that are inconsistent with one who knows Jesus. Spend time today asking God to forgive you and choosing to renounce these sins. Then … rejoice in your salvation!
Isaiah 25:9 (HCSB) On that day it will be said, “Look, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the Lord; we have waited for Him. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

1 Comments:
Doubt of my salvation has always been a problem that I wrestle with. But I now realize the complete confidence I can have in Jesus as my Savior. God's promise of salvation to those who believe in Jesus is real, it is greater than our minds and our hearts. There is no room for doubt of salvation if we have sincereley called on the name of the Lord. God is not a liar. I have sincerelel called on Jesus to be my Savior and Lord, therefore I am saved without a doubt! Praise be to God, who's promises are absolute!
